On July 9th, the PECERA-HK Dinner in Shanghai hosted by Dr. Maria Lee, the President of PECERA-HK, was successfully conducted. It provided a warm and engaging atmosphere for Hong Kong delegates to connect and exchange ideas.
From July 10-12, the PECERA Annual Conference 2025 brought together early childhood education professionals across Pan-Pacific Asia under the theme “Early Childhood Education in a New Era: Globalizing & Localizing Curriculum and Pedagogy”.
The diverse array of keynote speakers and symposium presentations delivered invaluable insights, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and best practices. Paper presentations and poster exchanges facilitated more valuable discussions and cultivated networking opportunities. Furthermore, visits to local kindergartens enable participants to observe firsthand their approaches to early childhood education being implemented in Shanghai.
Our team was thrilled to be part of this transformative gathering. Nine of our project schools had the opportunity to present their work, highlighting the expertise of Hong Kong’s frontline educators. Their active participation – a marked increase from previous years – reflects their growing influence in shaping the future of the field. We hope that the valuable insights gained, and the connections forged, will inspire Hong Kong’s frontline ECE educators and researchers to explore new frontiers in their practice and research.
