On 9 July 2026, PECERA (Hong Kong) successfully hosted its Networking Dinner in Singapore. Hosted by Dr. Maria Lee, President of PECERA (Hong Kong), the dinner brought together Hong Kong delegates attending the annual conference and provided a valuable opportunity for networking and professional exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

From 10–12 July, the PECERA Annual Conference 2026 was held at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) under the theme “Early Childhood Care and Education in a Complex World: Supporting Agency, Diversity and Inclusion”. The conference gathered researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific region to explore current developments and challenges in early childhood education.

The programme featured a range of keynote presentations, symposiums, paper presentations, and poster sessions, providing participants with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from research and practice across different contexts. The conference also encouraged meaningful discussions on diversity, inclusion, and children’s agency in an increasingly complex world.

PECERA (Hong Kong) was delighted to see strong participation from Hong Kong delegates, including researchers, school leaders, and frontline educators who actively contributed to the conference through paper and poster presentations. Their participation showcased the professionalism and dedication of Hong Kong’s early childhood education sector and strengthened its presence within the international ECE community.
We hope that the insights gained and connections established during the conference will continue to inspire future collaboration and contribute to the ongoing development of early childhood education in Hong Kong and beyond.
