Young children are more inclined to play and it is through play that they develop intellectually, physically, creatively, socially and emotionally. On May 18, 2009, PECERA (HK) organized a seminar on “Magic of Play in Brain Development”. Dr. Chow Chun-bong, Consultant Paediatrician of Princess Margaret Hospital and Chairman of Playright Children’s Association, gave a very inspiring presentation on the topic. The audience was enlightened on the importance of play to the brain development of children and how children should be encouraged to explore in a safe environment. They looked forward to further sharing on this topic in the future.
